Trump Says He 'Probably' Will Debate Kamala Harris

Former President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he "probably" will debate Vice President Kamala Harris but also suggested he could make a case for not participating in a potential matchup.

In an interview with Fox News' Maria Bartiromo, Trump said he was "not decided" on whether he would debate Harris if they were both candidates for president in 2024.

"I'm looking at it," Trump said. "I probably will, but I can also make a case for not doing it. Because when you debate somebody like that, you're, in a sense, legitimizing them. And I don't want to legitimize the Vice President."

Trump's comments come as speculation mounts about a potential rematch between himself and Biden in 2024. Harris is widely seen as a potential running mate for Biden, and some Democrats believe she could help him appeal to moderate voters and voters of color.

Trump has repeatedly attacked Harris, calling her a "radical leftist" who is out of touch with mainstream America. Harris has criticized Trump's policies, calling him a "divider" who has made the country more divided.

If Trump and Harris were to debate in 2024, it would be the first time a female vice president had debated a former president.

Trump's comments on Sunday suggest that he is open to the possibility of debating Harris, but that he is also weighing the potential risks of doing so.
